Memorial Day Holiday Schedule Announced

The City of Red Wing is providing the following schedule of building closures and services for the Memorial Day Holiday Week.   City Hall, Public Works, Community Development the Red Wing Public Library and the Solid Waste Campus will all be CLOSED on Monday, May 28th.   Refuse & Recycling Collection Schedule: Monday, May 28th – NO COLLECTION Tuesday, May 29th – Monday’s Route picked up Wednesday, May 30th – Tuesday’s Route picked up Thursday, May 31st – Wednesday’s Route picked up Friday, June 1st – Thursday’s Route picked up

Steve Anderson recently celebrated 10 years working for the Solid Waste division of Red Wing's Public Works department. Ten years might sound like a long time to be on a collection route, but Anderson enjoys working outdoors, driving down gravel roads in the country and having views of wildlife roaming on the open land. His favorite aspect of his job is how warm the public is when it comes to holidays and hot sunny days. Memorial Park access at Skyline Drive Closure

Day 2 of Snow Emergency Cancelled

Red Wing didn't receive as much snow as was forecasted.  Subsequently, day two of the snow emergency has been cancelled.  All major snow removal activities have been completed.  Normal parking can resume on all city streets as of noon on Sunday, February 25th.
