Tyler Road South Structure Fire Suspected To Be Arson
(09/16/2010, Red Wing, Minn.) - At 0900 on Thursday 09/16/2010 the Red Wing Fire Marshal's Office determined the Tyler Road residence damaged by fire last Friday evening is suspicious for arson. A thorough preliminary investigation was conducted including scene processing, reconstructing, and evidence collecting. All parties known to be involved were interviewed. The fire, which originated on the front porch, lacks any significant heat source which would have been responsible for ignition. Therefore, all natural causes and accidental causes have been eliminated.
Red Wing fire investigators are now working closely with Red Wing police investigators in the development of this case. Additional assistance is available in the form of resources and equipment through the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
