The Red Wing Public Library is starting its long-term strategic plan and wants your input.  Let the library know what programs, services, and opportunities you value the most, and what you want to see in the future.

Survey results will be available in late May. Help the library be the best it can be.

More about the Library's Strategic Plan from the Library's Executive Director, Jessica McGee:

Thank you to all our library patrons who have visited over the last year. In 2017, we had 168,280 visits to our library and that number keeps increasing. If it’s been awhile since you’ve visited, I invite you this week to come back—or come for the first time. Our doors are open and ready to welcome you. Like libraries around the country, our Red Wing library isn’t just a place to borrow books or study—it’s also a creative community center where all of us can collaborate and develop passions, enjoy educational and entertaining programs, and get advice and skills from local experts.

April 8th to 14th is National Library Week, an annual celebration of the life-changing work of libraries, librarians, and library workers. Here in Red Wing, we’re celebrating by asking you and the whole community to tell us what your priorities are—for next year and the years to come. Your opinions will be part of our long-range plan that will direct us in providing services and resources for everyone in the community. We’ve developed a short online survey that asks you to think about what the library currently offers and what you would like to see in the future. You can access the survey by going to https://redwinglibrary.metroquest.com, or stop by the library and the staff will log you onto a computer to complete the survey.

We’re always looking to evolve because we serve such a wide variety of people: students, small business owners, elected officials, families, and people of all ages who depend upon the resources we offer. Our services include providing e-books and technology classes, materials for English-language learners, and programming for children—just a few of the ways we’re helping lead and transform our community.

We will work on the library’s long-range plan throughout 2018, and the survey is a step in helping us learn what you like and what you want. Results from the survey will be available on the library's web site and the City of Red Wing's web site in late May. For more information, visit the Red Wing Public Library at 225 East Avenue, call 651-385-3645, or see the library website at https://redwing.lib.mn.us/.
