651.388.7141 Red Wing Firefighter/Paramedics Respond To Medical Call (August 1st, Red Wing, Minn.) – At 02:50 Red Wing firefighter/paramedics responded to The Harbor Bar in Trenton Township to assist with a possible drowning victim. Medic #2 transported the patient to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center at 03:06. At the time of transport, the patient was in critical condition. Firefighter/paramedics also responded in Engine #11 to assist with patient care, on-scene and en-route to the hospital. Deputies from the Pierce County Sheriffs Department assisted Red Wing Fire personnel with the rescue. The mission of the Red Wing Fire Department is to enhance the safety and security of the community by providing cost effective protection of life and property, through fire prevention, public education, fire suppression and emergency medical care.
