On April 30, 2014, at 6:30 PM, the Hope Coalition “Kid’s Count” program held a Candlelight Vigil for Child Abuse Awareness. Gage Robinson and his mother, Penny, were the guest speakers. It was quite an emotional evening, with many of the surviving children from child abuse and neglect participating in the program. The last item in the program revolved around children of abuse presenting a yellow rose to their “Safety Person”, a person they feel safe in going to for help. Gage presented his “Safety Person” rose to Chief Pohlman, on behalf of the Red Wing Police Department! Thank you Gage and Penny and all the children that participated, and for your efforts to end Child Abuse and increase awareness in our community!
