Water Main Break located on Highway 63

The City of Red Wing is currently working on a water main break located on the Red Wing side of the Eisenhower Bridge crossing into Wisconsin. Traffic is currently open, however it’s being directed to the outside lanes of Highway 63 as the leak is on the centerline. Please drive with extreme caution and slowdown in this area. Independence Day Holiday Schedule Announced

Park Naturalists Program Going Strong

There’s no question that the quantity and quality of our parks separates us from other cities. More than just recreations spots, our outdoor spaces are intrinsic to our identity as a community and the experience of living here.  Who can image Red Wing without the iconic backdrop of Barn Bluff or Memorial Park?  We’re passionate about these areas and want to help instill a love for them in others as well.  One such way we do that is through our Park Naturalist program. Pine Valley Park is Getting a New Playground!

Red Wing prides itself on its parks.  For a town of 16,000 people to have 39 parks really speaks to the quality of life we enjoy here.  One of our parks, Pine Valley, was in need of an upgrade.  Located off Pioneer Road and Burton Fork, this neighborhood park’s outdated equipment and underutilized spaces were not attracting families like it used to.  The park was scheduled to be upgraded this year and, in an excellent example of community engagement, our citizenry got to help decide which playground to install.    Public Works staff hosted a neighborhood mee…
