(April 26, 2016, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing is following current policy of painting over anything on the bluff when complaints are received. The City is initiating a public process on May 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the Foot Room of the Red Wing Public Library to gather information from citizens about their thoughts about the Barn Bluff Master Plan and people can also comment on the current practice related to the painting on the bluff. Effective at 0800 on April 19, 2016, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources lifted the burning ban for Goodhue County. Residents that had permits suspended because of the ban can now resume burning until their permit expires. Residents can now also apply for new burning permits.
