The City of Red Wing will be recognized for superior performance in workplace safety and health at the Governor’s Safety Awards luncheon on May 7 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The City of Red Wing is one of 267 employers to be honored through the awards program, coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council.

The Sustainability Commission will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at City Hall. The meeting will take place in the City Council Chambers beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Commission will be discussing issues pertaining to the Community Solar Garden.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Conservation Corps of Minnesota in cooperation with the City of Red Wing will be conducting controlled prescribed burns of the bluff prairies on Sorin’s Bluff (Memorial Park) on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. The purpose of the burns is to reduce invasive species in these areas and to stimulate existing prairie plants.
