Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation and members of the Red Wing Entrepreneurial Community Growth Initiative Core Leadership Team will be hosting the Grant Presentation Round for the Idea Slam project teams beginning at 6:00 at the Red Wing Library Foot Room. Project Team members will be giving a short presentation and handing out printed materials to support their application for all or a portion of $20,000 in grant funding. The Red Wing Sister City Commisison would like to invite members of the community to join us on Saturday, February 25th as we experience the taste and sounds of Japan. The evening will beging at 5:15 pm with an Asian-inspired dinner at the St. James Hotel followed by a 7:00 pm performance of Mu Daiko Taiko drumming at the Sheldon Theater. Tickets for the dinner and show are $65. This fundraising event will assist in supporting the many programs sponsored by Red Wing Sister Cities. Each year the Heritage Preservation Commission presents the Awards of Merit to individuals, institutions, and businesses who have been involved in exceptional local historic preservation projects.
