In 2011, The Red Wing Area Fund put together a plan to restore Memorial Park on Sorin’s Bluff after years of deterioration. For the restoration of the Memorial Park quarries, RWAF partnered with the City of Red Wing
Improvements have and continue to be made. New fire rings, picnic tables and grills have been added to both quarry areas, new trails from the lower quarry which will be enhanced by the addition of limestone curbing characteristic of the park, and informational kiosk panels displayed throughout the park.
Each of the informational kiosk panels provides an insight into the history of Memorial Park and the Red Wing Community.
Click on the links below which will provide more in-depth information to what is provided on each of the kiosk panels displayed throughout the park.
