Discrimination can and does happen anywhere including in school, at work, on the street, or in the grocery store. These are a few examples of discrimination:
- You are bound to stereotypes by others.
- You are the center of inappropriate jokes due to your nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, marital status, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
- You are excluded due to your nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, marital status, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
- You are held to unequal standards in school, the workplace, or in public.
- You have been sexually assaulted, harassed, or trafficked.
- You are denied healthcare, equal pay for equal work, employment, housing, or education due to your nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, marital status, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
