The Red Wing Park Naturalists hosted their first official program in the summer of 2016 with the purpose of helping the community build personal connections to Red Wing’s beautiful natural spaces. It’s the Park Naturalists’ goal to help people discover a new trail, park, or simply find a special place in town and help them learn something new about it. When people make connections to these important natural areas in our city, they will continue to preserve and care for them and share their appreciation with others.
Important info about summer programming:
Due to COVID-19 and our concern for the safety of our program participants, we are implementing a few new guidelines this year.
All participants must register for programs through Community Education
Group size is limited to a total of 9 participants.
Distancing guidelines will be practiced while hiking and during programs (family units will be grouped together).
Masks are encouraged, but not mandatory.
Program participants will answer COVID-19 screening questions at the start of each program.
Thank you for your patience as we move forward with this new style of program offerings. Please find the registration links at the Community Education website.
