The City of Red Wing, Hiawathaland Transit and the State of Minnesota are partners in providing public transportation for the Red Wing Area. The City provides funding for new buses and support services for the bus shelters and bus garage. Hiawathaland Transit is responsible for all of the day-to-day operational needs including the hiring of all personnel to operate the bus service. The State of Minnesota offers oversight administration and additional funding for both operational and capital needs for this bus service.
Hiawathaland Transit is operated by Three Rivers Community Action, Inc., and is available to everyone in the Red Wing area. People of all ages ride our buses to go places like school, work, the grocery store, doctor's office, pharmacy, or library. Our buses can transport anyone anywhere within city limits!
