Part Time and Seasonal Employment

Part-time employment is regularly scheduled employment of less than 40 hours per week. Employees working at least 20 hours per week earn pro-rated vacation, sick leave and holiday pay. A minimum of 24 hours per week must be worked for prorated group insurance benefits.

Part-time positions with the City of Red Wing include:

  • Audio Video Technicians
  • Clerical
  • Finance Aids
  • Library Assistants
  • Library Clerks

Seasonal Employment

In addition to regular employment, the City of Red Wing annually hires approximately 50 seasonal workers primarily during May through August to perform varied physical labor in general maintenance of the following areas:

  • City Parks
  • Streets
  • Recycling and Refuse
  • Cemetery
  • Resource Recovery
  • Water/Wastewater Utilities
  • Engineering
  • Building Maintenance
  • Fleet Maintenance
  • Marina Operations

Work schedules may include varied hours, some weekends, evenings, nights and holidays.

Interested applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
