Red Wing Highlighted on MN CERT website for Solar Tour

On September 26, over twenty five people joined the Southeast Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERT) tour of the City of Red WIng's clean energy projects.  The tour included visits to the Public Works Maintenance Shop where participants learned about Red Wing's recycled waste oil and LED Street Lighting, then moved Downtown where they visited the City Hall Solar Car Port, and the Fire Station's rooftop solar PV installation. Veteran’s Day Holiday Schedule Announced

  The City of Red Wing is providing the following schedule of building closures and services for the Veteran’s Day Holiday Week. City Hall, Public Works, the Red Wing Public Library and the Solid Waste Campus will all be CLOSED on Friday, November 11th.   Refuse & Recycling Collection Schedule: Monday, November 7th – Normal Collection Tuesday, November 8th – Normal Collection Wednesday, November 9th – Normal Collection Thursday, November 10th – Normal Collection Friday, November 11th – NO COLLECTION  

Highway #63 Final Design Public Open House - 11/3/16

The Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation are hosting an open house for the Red Wing Bridge Project on November 3 from 5-7 p.m. in the Foot Room of the Red Wing Public Library (225 East Avenue, Red Wing, MN).  An informational presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m., but the public is encouraged to arrive at any time.   Information presented will include construction schedule and details, project aesthetics, right-of-way status, and utility updates.  Project staff will be available to discuss recent project developments and answer questions.  Your feedback is valuable to …

TH 61/Main Street Reconstruction Project - Bush & Potter Street Closures at Main Street

The City of Red Wing and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) would like to inform you that the reopening of Plum Street (TH 58) at the intersection of Main Street (TH 61) with temporary surfacing is planned to take place on Friday, May 20th.  As part of the reopening, the Bush and Potter Street intersections at Main Street are planned to be closed to allow the concrete work to progress through these intersections.  The focus will be to complete all of the new concrete work on the south side while Plum Street remains open, saving this intersection for last.   It is estimated that …

TH 61/Main Street Reconstruction Project - Overnight Construction

As part of the TH 61/Main Street project, the City’s contractor, Meyer Contracting will be constructing a water main connection at the intersection of Bush Street and Main Street.  The work is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 pm Thursday evening (3/31) and will continue into the early hours of Friday morning.  This water main connection will require water service disruption to area businesses and residents, but overnight construction will allow us to minimize the impacts to those affected by the shutdown.  The affected properties have been notified about this water service disrupt…

Highway 63 Bridge - Short-Term Lane Closures, Flaggers Planned for March 21st.

Motorists traveling on the Highway 63 Eisenhower Bridge at Red Wing will encounter afternoon lane closures and flaggers on Monday, March 21 while work is done in preparation for the bridge replacement project, according to the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation.
