Red Wing Firefighter/Paramedics Respond To Motor Vehicle Accident

(12/09/2011, Red Wing, Minn.) - At 17:15 Red Wing firefighter/paramedics responded to Highway 61 near Sevestopol Road to assist with a three car head on accident with injuries. Medic 4 transported one patient to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center at 17:38. Red Wing Fire crews used extrication equipment to remove a patient from another vehicle and transported into medic 2. After treating the patient's injuries, Mayo One helicopter landed at the scene and transported the patient to St Mary's. At the time of transport, the patient was in serious condition. Lake City Ambulance also responded for mutual aid and transported 1 patient to Lake City Hospital. Red Wing firefighter/paramedics were assisted by Red Wing Police, Goodhue County Sheriff, State Patrol and Lake City Ambulance.
