Retiring Sergeant Mettling Receives Proclamation For National Police Week

Sergeant Bill Mettling (left) and Chief Roger Pohlman (right) display the National Police Week Proclamation, signed by acting Mayor Lisa Bayley, proclaiming the week of May 12, 2013, as National Police Week in Red Wing, Minnesota.  Sergeant Mettling received the proclamation from Mayor Bayley, on behalf of the Red Wing Police Department, in honor of his upcoming retirement.  Sergeant Mettling will be retiring from the Red Wing Police Department at the end of the month, after 34 years of honorable service to the citizens of Red Wing.  A retirement ceremony will be held in his honor on May 30, 2013, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Goodhue County Law Enforcement Center.  Thank you Sergeant Mettling for your dedicated service!
