On February 3, 2014, at approximately 2:16 AM, Dispatch received a suspicious person/activity in the vicinity of the Parkway Motel, 3425 Highway 61.  Upon arrival at that location, the first responding officer observed two personnel sitting in a Tan Buick Century.  The occupants of the vehicle then noticed the officer on foot in the parking lot and started backing the vehicle toward the officer.  The vehicle left the area on Carol Lane and was located at 319 Hillcrest Drive, stuck on a snow bank.  Red Wing Police Department K-9 arrived on-scene to begin a track of the fleeing suspects.  Officers also requested assistance from Minnesota State Patrol Air Support.  Officers located one female suspect hiding under the deck of 319 Hillcrest Drive; she was transported to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning and later released.  Officers then continued to track the other suspect to the vicinity of Old Tyler Road and Red Fox Drive.  At 6:12 AM, officers were notified of a suspicious male at Wal-Mart.  While Sheriff Deputies and Officers were checking the store, the suspect exited a fire escape at the rear of the store.  Officers chased the suspect to a location on Red Wing Avenue, where he was located hiding under an RV.  The male suspect was identified as Nicholas Orr, 28 of Zumbrota, MN.  Orr was arrested on the Felony Warrant out of Blue Earth and also booked on 4th and 5th Degree Assault charges, fleeing in a motor vehicle and on foot.   The Red Wing Police Department was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Prairie Island Police Department, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and Midway Towing.
