Burning Ban Lifted
For Immediate Release Contact: Andy SpeltzApril 6, 2010 Fire Marshal Red Wing Fire Department 385.3694 Burning Ban Lifted (April 6, 2010, Red Wing, Minn.) – On April 6, 2010, Goodhue County Sheriff, Dean Albers in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources lifted the burning ban for Goodhue County. Residents that had permits suspended because of the ban can now resume burning until their permit expires. Residents can now also apply for new burning permits. Recreational fires may also resume. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. The mission of the Red Wing Fire Department is to enhance the safety and security of the community by providing cost effective protection of life and property, through fire prevention, public education, fire suppression and emergency medical care.
