Dan Guida, Director of the Red Wing Arts Association (RWAA) received approval from the City Council on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 to place a Veterans Sculpture in Levee Park, one component of a larger Veterans Art Project. Their goal is to increase awareness in our community of the veteran experience. The other components of the project include a Depot Gallery show with artwork created by veterans. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) are hosting a fourth public listening session for the Red Wing Bridge Project. The project includes the Highway 63 (Eisenhower) Bridge over the Mississippi River and the Highway 63 Bridge over Highway 61, as well as the approach roadways on both sides of the river.
