The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Red Wing by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2010 comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). Red Wing Firefighter/Paramedics Respond To A Vehicle Crash

 Jan.4, Red Wing, Minn.) - At 17:49 Red Wing firefighter/paramedics responded to Highway 58, Hay Creek, for a vehicle crash.  Red Wing Fire responded with 3 ambulances and 6 personnel to find a crash involving 2 vehicles and multiple patients.  One patient was found dead at the scene, two were flown via Mayo helicopters to undisclosed locations, and 1 was taken by Red Wing Ambulance to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.  The condition of the patients transportedcould not be determined.  Red Wing Ambulance personnel were on scene for 1 hour, along with Goodhue Fire Department, and local…

Portion of West Third Street Closed Beginning January 4, 2012

(January 3, 2012, Red Wing, Minn.) - The City of Red Wing Public Works Department will be closing a portion of West Third Street on Wednesday, January 4th for water valve replacement. The area affected is the portion of West Third Street between Fulton and Dakota Streets.  This closure is expected to last until Friday, January 6th.
