Portion of Hay Creek Valley Bike Trail Closed Beginning July 27, 2011

(July 26, 2011, Red Wing, Minn.) - The City of Red Wing will be working with a private contractor to stabilize the embankment on the Hay Creek Valley Bike Trail beginning July 27th. The portion to be repaired extends from Pioneer Road for approximately 500' to the east. Temporary trail closures can be expected along with lane closures on Hay Creek Valley Road as trucks enter and exit the site. Work is expected to be completed within 2 weeks. Milling Bituminous Streets & Bituminous Overlay Construction

(July 20, 2011, Red Wing, Minn.) - Beginning July 25, 2011, Monarch Paving Company of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin will begin the milling of bituminous pavement and construction of bituminous overlay on various streets in Red Wing. These streets will have flaggers, lane closures in both directions, and traffic interruptions at various stages of construction. This project, when completed, will provide an improved driving surface for the public.
