Red Wing Fire Department Receives Approval to Purchase New Ambulance

Preliminary Plans for New Transit Facility Unveiled

At the Council meeting on February 28th Council Member Dan Bender presented preliminary plans for the new Hiawathaland Transit Station and Red Wing Park and Ride Facility that is planned for construction in the summer of 2011. The project is made possible by a $500,000 grant award of Federal Stimulus funding. The project will be developed on a combination of City of Red Wing property and U.S. Highway 61 Right-of-Way and will be located adjacent to Highway 61 at Withers Harbor Drive (across from the Perkins Restaurant).
