Emerald Ash Borer

Emerald ash borer (EAB) is an insect that kills ash trees. It is not known to be in Red Wing, but is on its way. The City values its trees and must prepare for the arrival of this highly destructive insect. Meeting Notice - Red Wing Regional Airport Zoning Workshop

The Red Wing Regional Airport Zoning Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.  The workshop will be held at the Twin Bluff Water Treatment Facility located at 1468 Pioneer Road.  More than a quorum of Airport Board Members and City Council Members may be present.  

Dakota Street Closed May 17-21

The City of Red Wing has contracted with Larry's Excavating to install a sanitary sewer main on Dakota Street. The street will be closed between Third and Main Street including the intersection of Third and Dakota Street. Work is expected to begin at 7:00 am on May 17th with expected completion on May 21st. weather permitting. Detour signs will be in place. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area. Crews appreciate the cooperation and patience of neighbors, drivers and pedestrians during this time of inconvenience. Portion of West Avenue Closed May 13-14

City of Red Wing Public Works crews will be making emergency repairs to the water main on May 13th and 14th. West Avenue from Putnam to Central Avenue will be closed starting at 7:00 am and will remain closed until 3:00 pm on Friday, weather permitting. Detour signs will be in place. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area. Crews appreciate the cooperation and patience of neighbors, drivers and pedestrians during this time of inconvenience. Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones and use alternate routes whenever possible.  

Portion of Southbound Highway 61 Closed May 12-14

City of Red Wing crews will be repairing a sewer main located in the median on Highway 61 on May 12th, 13th and 14th.  As a result, the left lane of southbound traffic on Highway 61 between Highway 19 and Aspen Avenue will be closed.  Traffic control will be in place.  Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area.Crews appreciate the cooperation and patience of neighbors, drivers and pedestrians during this time of inconvenience.  Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. 

West Avenue Closed May 6th
