Bike Rodeo May 1st

  The Red Wing Police Department annual Bicycle Rodeo will be held on May 1st from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Goodhue County Law Enforcement Center parking lot located at 430 West 6th Street in Red Wing.   Children attending will be given instructions on hand signals and signs and other bicycle safety information.  Children who have a bike should bring them, as they will be riding them in the bicycle safety course.  Free hot dogs and pop will be served and prize drawings will be held for helmets, bike locks , bicycles, etc.   For more information or questions regarding …

Spring Hydrant Flushing Begins Monday, April 12th

Burning Ban Imposed

On March 30, 2010, Goodhue County Sheriff, Dean Albers in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources issued a burning ban for Goodhue County.    All burn permits issued within Goodhue County are suspended. No new burn permits will be issued until the burning ban is lifted. The Red Wing Fire Department has also issued a ban on recreational fires while the burning ban is in place.   “Conditions outdoors are tinder dry”, said Fire Marshal, Andy Speltz. “Fire danger is high and will remain that way until significant rainfall is received.”  …
