Construction Demolition

Residential demolition is accepted at the Integrated Solid Waste Management Campus during regular hours. Residents may deliver construction demolition materials by truck or trailer loads.

Acceptable demolition materials:

  • Sheet rock
  • Lath, plaster
  • Wood pallets
  • Shingles
  • Cement Blocks
  • Insulation
  • Windows
  • Siding
  • Fixtures
  • Cabinets/Countertops
  • Sinks, tubs, showers

Roll-Off Dumpster Information

The City of Red Wing currently has several large size roll-off dumpsters available for short term lease to Red Wing area residents and businesses.

Interested individuals are asked to call ahead (385-3658) to reserve a dumpster and to notify the office 24 hours in advance to empty or remove a dumpster.

Dumpster Sizes and Dimensions

  • 10 yard (3'H x 16'L x 7'W)
  • 15 yard (3.5'H x 16'L x 7'W)
  • 20 yard (4'H x 22'L x 7'W)
  • 30 yard (6'H x 22'L x 7'W)
  • 40 yard (6.5'H x 22'L x 7'W)

The following items are NOT INCLUDED in the cost for disposal of demolition materials. Special rates apply to each of these items and are subject to change based on associated disposal costs.  Current rates for each of these items are available for viewing by clicking on the Incinerator Roll-off Brochure link above.

  • Upholstered Chairs, Loveseats, Couches, Recliners, Sleeper Sofas or Sectional Sofas
  • Mattress (Twin/Full, Queen/King)
  • Televisions or Computer Monitors
  • Computer Towers, Keyboard, mouse, speakers or laptops
  • Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Dehumidifiers, or Freezers
  • Dryers, Washers, Stoves, Dishwasher, Microwave 
  • Car Tires (with rims or without rims), Tractor Tires or Bicycle Tires
  • Hot Water Heaters
  • DVD, CD, VCR, DVR, Fax, Stero or Statellite Receiver
  • Telephone, cell phone, answering machine
  • Desktop printer, Laser Printer, Scanner, Paper Shredder or Satellite dish

Hazardous waste materials including waste oil and fluorescent light bulbs/CFL's are not acceptable items for disposal in a roll-off dumpster. Hazardous waste can be disposed of at the Goodhue County Recycling Center during their Household Hazardous Waste Collections.  Click here for 2012 Schedule

**Contact the Solid Waste Division for rates on roll-off dumpsters for yard waste/brush or concrete only.  Roll-offs containing these items may qualify for a reduced rate.
