The Community Recreation Joint Powers Board is composed of members from both the City of Red Wing and the Red Wing School District. The board acts as the governing body concerning recreational opportunities in the community. An important part of this board’s mission is to coordinate all recreational facilities in the community, those owned both by the city and the school district. The board is responsible for offering programs, managing Colvill Aquatic Center and scheduling fields, gyms, and arenas. The Joint Powers Board is composed of five members including two City Council members, two School Board members and one at-large member.

The board meets bi-monthly on the odd numbered months on the third Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers.
