The Buildings and Grounds Division is responsible for the community's parks, shelters, playgrounds, flower baskets, boulevard trees, cemetereis, government buildings and other various seasonal activities and events. Click on the links below to learn more about these services.

Bill Rooney is the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the Public Works Department. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1973 with a degree in Natural Resources, Bill worked as a Golf Course Supervisor and a Landscape Designer. In 1989 Bill began work with the City of Red Wing as an Assistant Cemetery Director, and has since been the Cemetery Director and Tree Inspector. Bill became the current Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds in 2007. He now is responsible for the care and maintenance of the City's parks, shelters, playgrounds, flower baskets, boulevard trees, cemeteries and city owned government buildings.
