Boards and Commissions

Become Part of Red Wing’s Boards and Commissions

Volunteers who serve on any one of the formal Boards and Commissions work to execute the City Council’s broad visions. In addition, there are many groups and individuals who volunteer their time to help with city functions, facilities, and events. There are also established groups of volunteers who help support the parks, Public Library, and the Sheldon Performing Arts Theatre.According to City Council Administrator Kay Kuhlmann, “The volunteerism we see just in city government is a great indication that people in the community truly care about the quality of life here and are willing to invest their time and effort to contribute. Red Wing is really fortunate to have so many individuals in the community who are willing to commit their time and talents here.”
