As part of a parking study, the City is asking anybody who lives, works, shops, or dines in downtown Red Wing or along Old West Main Street to complete a survey to provide their thoughts about parking in those areas. The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and ask questions to determine what's most important to you when parking, how your experience in Red Wing compares to other cities, how easy it is to find parking, and other similar questions. About the Study

The City of Red Wing is undergoing a parking study in collaboration with Walker Consultants from Minneapolis. The study area includes downtown Red Wing and the Old West Main area.

The purpose of the study is to assess how on-street and off-street parking in is being used, identify issues and opportunities, and develop a plan for operating and managing parking now and into the future. The City expects continued growth and change.

Promoting a high-level of access and customer service, maintaining character and vibrancy, and ensuring efficiency use of parking resources are key guiding principles for the City as it operates and manages and parking. The parking study will help the City plan for future growth and changes and serve as a strategic roadmap to guide parking operations and management.
