The entrance plaza at He Mni Can-Barn Bluff is a partnership between the City of Red Wing and Prairie Island Indian Community. The space helps raise awareness of the sacred cultural significance of the bluff. A storyteller welcome sign invites visitors to the bluff and provides maps and other information.
In the plaza, a series of four storyteller markers (composed of eight panels) provides information about the long legacy of He Mni Can-Barn Bluff. The panels feature English and Dakota written translations and a button that when pressed allows visitors to hear the spoken Dakota text.
Also in the plaza is a series of seven columns of dialogue with patterns and informational text and images.
