2021 Red Wing Bituminous Mill & Overlay

This project will include a mill and overlay and pedestrian ramp construction in the following areas:

  • West Fourth Street (East Avenue to Bluff Street)
  • Plum Street (Main Street to North)
  • Ninth Street (Central to East Avenues)
  • Emmett Avenue (Learning Lane to South)
  • Learning Lane (School exit to Emmet Avenue)
  • Aspen Avenue (Learning Lane to Nordic Drive)
  • Hi Park Avenue (Henning Avenue to cul-de-sac)
  • Carol Lane (Helen Lane to Graves Drive

MnDOT Highway 58 Bituminous Mill & Overlay

Headed by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, this project includes a bituminous mill and overlay, pedestrian ramp improvements, and bump-out construction along Highway 58 from Main Street to Twentieth Street.  More information about the complete scope of work and project timeline is available on the Hwy 58 Resurfacing project page on MnDOT's website.

Red Wing Avenue South/Hewitt Boulevard Construction

Utility construction was completed in the street extension/connection of Red Wing Avenue South/Hewitt Boulevard in 2020.  In 2021, final bituminous paving, sidewalk construction, and turf establishment will get underway.

Old Zumbrota Street Cul-de-Sac Construction

This project was designed and started in the fall of 2020.  The underground storm sewer was extended and initial grading got underway.  Final grading, the installation of curb and gutters, and bituminous paving will be completed in 2021.

321 Potter Street Parking Lot - Phase 2

After the building removal scheduled for spring 2021 at 320 Bluff Street, parking lot construction will begin, including the installation of curb and gutters, bituminous paving, and sidewalk construction.  The remainder of the block was constructed in 2020.

Alley Reconstruction

Curb and gutters and bituminous paving are scheduled to begin in summer 2021 on the alley running from Franklin to Fulton Streets and between Main and Third Streets.
